I studied Business Administration and Marketing, where my passion for researching user experiences first began. During college, I worked as a marketing researcher, focusing on market trends and user behavior for startup mobile apps. It was also my first experience conducting competitor and comparative analysis.
I became fascinated by how deeply understanding users’ needs and preferences could lead to more meaningful solutions. That curiosity eventually led me to support a frontend designer in prototyping and early design work, using Balsamiq to help bring ideas to life.
I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in design, but I wasn’t yet aware of UX and UI as distinct disciplines—especially since design work was often handled by frontend developers where I worked.
My passion for art and visual storytelling began early. I started learning Photoshop and Illustrator back in 2010, which naturally led me to graphic design. After graduating, I worked as a graphic designer for four years, refining my visual skills and gaining a strong foundation in design principles.
I craved a deeper connection with users and a stronger sense of purpose through design. I wanted to create experiences that genuinely help people.
I then took my first UI design course on Udemy and realized that many of the design principles were similar to those in graphic design. Designing UI and wireframes came naturally to me.
I successfully completed my first UI design project and knew I was on the right path. After that, I dove deeper into the UX field through courses from the Interaction Design Foundation, where I learned about the intersection of business, user needs, and the process of creating successful applications. That was my "Aha!" moment — I had found exactly what I had been searching for.
I've then started my career in design, where I get to combine my passion for research, user-centered design, and my experience in graphic design.
